The Royal Inns Senior Care Homes were established in Lake Forest, CA, in 1986. From the day we welcomed our first resident, my late wife Nanci and I, along with our five children, nurtured the Royal Inns into an extension of our family—an environment that is warm, inviting, and joyful.

Nanci began her nursing career shortly after high school, quickly advancing to manage five residential care homes in Mission Viejo. She excelled at this role when our paths crossed and we began our journey together (though she might have jokingly contested who swept whom off their feet!). During my service in the Marine Corps, I volunteered with The Muscular Dystrophy Association, caring for some of the most incredible people I have ever met. This life-changing experience inspired my dedication to providing care for our elderly population.

Throughout the years, we've witnessed many transformations in residential care—formerly known as Board and Care—but one constant has remained unchanged: our seniors deserve the utmost care, compassion, and respect. At The Royal Inns, our goal is simple: to treat your loved ones as our own.

After decades in senior care, we deeply understand that each family's situation is unique. Even when we believe we've encountered every possible scenario, we're reminded that there is always more to learn.
